Grading of Rides
EASY RIDES are for anyone, including families and beginners, who just enjoy a leisurely ride in company. About 20 to 25 miles maximum at about 7-8 mph. Ridden at the pace of the slowest rider.
INTERMEDIATE RIDES are ridden at about 10 mph average speed over a distance of 30 to 40 miles.
CLUB RIDES are ridden at about 13-15mph average (depending on terrain and who’s in the group) over a distance of 40 to 60 miles., usually returning before lunch. These start at 9 a.m. and run in addition to easy/intermediate rides described above
ALTERNATIVE CLUB RIDES are a little slower than the Club Rides, ridden at about 12-13mph average over a distance of 40 to 50 miles. Also starting at 9am , taking the place of standard Club runs once pr month.
Who’s been on what rides this year….??
There are usually two rides every Sunday - a faster ride starting at 9am and lasting the morning (with a coffee stop) and a slower one starting at 10am, stopping for lunch. All rides start from High Cross, Truro (in front of Cathedral)
